Testimonial – Victoria Mallia

I am a Grade 1 teacher at St. Benild School and I recently attended a 3-day training course in Budapest on integrating AI into the classroom. This experience was invaluable in equipping me with new tools and strategies to enhance my teaching.

One particularly interesting tool I discovered was Ideogram. By providing clues, Ideogram generates corresponding images. These AI-generated images can be used in various ways, such as initiating discussions, introducing new topics, or visualizing book characters. Students can even create their own images and share their interpretations.

Another useful tool I learned about was Suno, which allows users to generate custom songs based on specific topics and genres. During the course, I created a “welcome back to school” song to use with my students at the beginning of the year.

Beyond the training, I had the opportunity to participate in a walking tour around Budapest with other educators from Malta and Sweden. This cultural exchange allowed me to learn about the city’s history and connect with other educators.

Overall, this experience was both professionally and personally enriching. I am excited to apply the knowledge and skills I gained from this training to my classroom and continue exploring the potential of AI in education.
