The Numeracy Team within the Secretariat for Catholic Education is dedicated to supporting all stakeholders in our Church schools with the teaching and learning of mathematics. Our goal is to guide our students on a positive and enriching mathematical journey. We firmly believe that parents play a crucial role in education.
Therefore, a workshop was repeatedly delivered in seven different locations across Malta and Gozo to cater for parents whose children started Year 1 in any of our church schools this scholastic year. We introduced parents to various strategies for the teaching and learning of mathematics. Additionally, parents had the opportunity to explore the tools and resources that can be used with their children to support their mathematical journey at home.
