The Church School Social Workers (CSSW) support the school communities aiming to maximise students’ chances of success in school and life by intervening with their systems to establish healthier patterns. The service also assists children, parents/legal guardians, and communities in developing social competences. - Address specific situations by creating social injustices within and outside of school.
- Provide necessary support to struggling students, encouraging their full potential.
- Ensure regular school attendance by addressing underlying attendance issues.
- Promote students’ psychosocial well-being by involving families and the external environment.
- Offer support and guidance to parents/legal guardians.
- Provide information on community resources.
- Enhance support initiatives for student welfare.
- Act as first respondents to allegations of abuse, consulting with Child Protection Services when required.
