Our role is to inspire and guide a school community that nurtures a digital literate environment, shifting towards student-centred learning involving hands-on practices. This will aid in integrating technology and teaching practices that will help our students develop 21st Century competences including critical thinking, creativity, computational-thinking, communication and collaboration to become responsible digital citizens.

🤖EU Code Week 2026🤖
Educators from church schools explored cross-curricular ways to integrate coding, computational thinking and robotics into teaching and learning.
The event, in collaboration with Malta Digital Innovation Authority, included engaging sessions by Mr David Scerri (MDIA), who discussed the AI Act and the implications of AI in education, and Ms Marion Micallef (MDIA), who shared insights on EU Code Week registration and local coding competitions.
Led by the Heads of Department for Digital Literacy and Transversal Skills within the Curriculum Entitlement Team at the Secretariat for Catholic Education, participants rotated through a variety of hands-on workshops featuring Micro:bit challenges; robotics by Dr Conrad Attard IEEE Malta Section; EmpowerAId Academy and Bebras by Dr Diane Vassallo Malta Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. Sharing of the winning submission of Minecraft Challenge 2025 was also presented by Ms. Daniela Buttigieg.
