Antibullying Service

The Positive Relationships & Restorative Action Service is a specialist SfCE service dedicated to supporting students, parents, educators, and the wider community in building safer, more inclusive, and relationship-centred learning environments.

We envision school communities where every child and young person experience genuine safety, belonging, respect, and inclusion.

We aspire to learning environments in which positive relationships are the foundation of educational success, diversity is recognised as a strength, and every member of the school community shares responsibility for creating cultures that reject bullying and promote wellbeing.

Our vision extends beyond reducing bullying incidents. We seek to support schools in creating environments where respectful relationships become the norm, restorative approaches strengthen accountability, and every student is empowered to participate fully in school life without fear of intimidation, exclusion, or discrimination.

Ultimately, we believe that every school can become a community in which students feel connected, educators feel confident, families feel valued, and positive relationships flourish.

Our mission is to partner with schools to prevent, reduce, and respond effectively to bullying and harmful peer behaviour through restorative, trauma-informed, and evidence-informed practice.

We achieve this by providing specialist consultation, comprehensive assessment, professional learning, implementation support, leadership coaching, restorative facilitation, and systems improvement.

Rather than focusing solely on individual incidents, we work collaboratively with school leaders, educators, wellbeing teams, families, and students to strengthen the relationships, organisational systems, and professional capabilities that create sustainable improvements in school culture.

Our mission is fulfilled when schools develop the confidence, consistency, and organisational capacity to proactively prevent bullying, respond effectively when concerns arise, and sustain positive practice independently.

The overarching aim of the Positive Relationships & Restorative Action (PRRAS) Service is to strengthen schools' capacity to create learning environments where every student feels safe, respected, included, and connected.

To achieve this aim, we seek to:

• Improve the quality and consistency of bullying assessment and intervention.
• Support restorative and relationship-centred responses to conflict and harm.
• Strengthen leadership capability and organisational systems.
• Improve professional confidence through consultation, coaching, and professional learning.
• Enhance collaboration between schools, families, and external agencies.
• Promote student voice, participation, and belonging.
• Strengthen safeguarding-informed practice.
• Support sustainable implementation of evidence-informed approaches.
• Improve educational, social, and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people.
