Our role is to inspire and guide a school community that nurtures a digital literate environment, shifting towards student-centred learning involving hands-on practices. This will aid in integrating technology and teaching practices that will help our students develop 21st Century competences including critical thinking, creativity, computational-thinking, communication and collaboration to become responsible digital citizens.
🤖EU Code Week 2025 Launch with Church Schools Senior Leadership Team🤖
On September 30th, the Digital Literacy team within SfCE, in collaboration with EU Code Week Malta, MDIA and DDLTS – Directorate for Digital Literacy & Transversal Skills hosted an EU Code Week online meeting for Church School Senior Leadership Teams.
The session commenced with an introduction from Ms Angela Charles, Director for Curriculum Entitlement within SfCE. This was followed by presentations from Ms Marisa Abela Gatt and Mr James Callus.The session ended with sharing of good practices. All collaborators agreed that coding is a fundamental skill for holistic education today and in the future, fostering problem-solving, creativity, and digital fluency essential for thriving in a technology-driven world.
