As part of the ongoing professional development by the Physics department, teachers in Church schools were offered training on the Scientix website for resources relevant to Physics teaching. Furthermore they were made aware of new STEM careers by Transport Malta locally to be able to inform about the students whom they teach. This training was then followed by a tour of the Faculty of Science labs at the University Campus to meet local researchers and learn on current research and about the different branches of specialisation in Physics at the University of Malta today. The latter empowered teachers to become aware of the new opportunities locally, especially in relation to new undergraduate courses, to be able to disseminate the information within the schools where they teach.
