The Digital Literacy Team, within the Secretariat for Catholic Education in collaboration with Headstart Technology organised a CoPE seminar for non-ICT secondary school teachers in Church schools as part of EU Code Week 2019. The first workshop included hands-on activities where teachers used robots and coding in subjects like Maths, Geography, Maltese and Science. The second workshop dealt with how Virtual Reality could be included in various subjects across the curriculum. Both robotics and virtual reality can be an aid to increase students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as, curiosity and creativity in the classroom across the curriculum.
